Wright Brothers Memorial

We recently took a trip to the Wright Brothers Memorial in Kitty Hawk, NC.  We left on Friday and stayed the weekend with Uncle Bobby at his new house.  We enjoyed our visit with him.  He's only been in his new house about a year now and this was our first time seeing it, other than in pictures.  Our visit I think is what was best.

We got up Saturday morning and headed from Elizabeth City on down to Kitty Hawk.  We really didn't have much time, b/c Uncle Bobby had to be back at 4pm for a church event.  Who knew I was so out of shape!  That was a lot of walking.

The kids and the men, enjoyed the History Lesson!  We talked about how much history we actually have here in North Carolina.

We live about 3 hours from Uncle Bobby and it's about an hour drive from his house to the Outer Banks area...so obviously when we left, Hayleigh took a nap. This was after our bellies got full at a quant little restaurant in Duck, NC.

Ohhh...it was sooo good!  I'd love to have a 2nd home at Duck.

We hope to get back soon to visit with Uncle Bobby.  It was so nice to visit his Church also.  Here is a link to their website, Pastor Hans had some strong words.  Take a listen to the podcast.  Fountain of Life Church

Praising God, when times are tough!

Praising God, when times are tough...and how many of us don't have tough times every day!  Praise God, he allows no more on us than we can handle!

When Jesus chose to carry {my} cross I had no say in it...he just done it!  Why have I been so stubborn to this...not allowing HIM to be the complete center of my life?  Why has it taken so long for me to awaken and "see the light"?  Why haven't I let my little light shine?  Why?  Why?  Why?  All these why's...and not once has My God given up!

Every day I am blessed.  I awake and put my feet upon the floor of a nice home.  I bathe in a warm shower.  Rinse my hair with hair products that God didn't intend on me to have, but I "want".  I taste the goodness of the fresh ground beans as I sip on my morning coffee as I read my daily devotion.  I snuggle and rub noses on the precious two little one's he's placed ever so careful in my life.  I pray with them as we drive to school, special prayers this morning for a special little boy same age as them, struggling with health issues.  Blessed, again...I have healthy children.  I turn on the computer and roll up to my desk, job security.  Blessed.  I check Facebook, again, blessed with many friends that although, I don't speak with face to face every day...they are there.

I plan out my day, thinking how and what needs to be done before the next day starts.

I believe in {my} God, in his death, resurrection ... his purpose!  Why?  Because I have Faith!

I believe in the Cross, the very cross that HE carried {my} burdens, {my} sin, {my} pain!  God, I am so truly blessed!
