How does she...

How does a mom do all the things she does in one day?  Okay, so I absolutely love the movie "How Does She Do It" with Sarah Jessica Parker.  I totally fell in love with her back when Sex & the City came out...which I absolutely love S&C also!  Anyways, in the movie Parker's role is a very busy working mom who at the same time, keeps up with PTO, bake sales, homework, and everything in between!  I could have played that part!

So in real life, how do we get it all done in one day.  My daily routine works like this....up at 6, shower, make cup of coffee to sip while still moving slow, get dressed and wake kids by 7, get them dresses, fed and book bags packed, out the door by 8 to drop kids off at school (we live 2 blocks from the school, so it makes time in the am easy).  While all this is going on, I've gotta fill DH in on what's on his agenda for the day and where I will be.  After kids are off to school, I'm back to the house for starting a load of laundry (which seems like I have to do everyday), checking emails, working on PTO projects, school volunteer projects, Jr. Women's Club projects, along with what else may need a little attention for that day.  Set aside that during the week I have to fit in (2) homes that I clean for.  By lunch I'm ready for a nap, but I don't have time, gotta fix lunch for DH.  At 2:40pm I've gotta be in carpool line, if today wasn't a day that I volunteered in the classroom.  Then once children are in the car, it's home to get a snack and do homework.  Art class for girl on Mondays, BBall practice on Thursdays and fit in my personal gym time sometime before 6.  Once DH is home it's time to eat, go over the day with the children, bath, book, prayers and bed!  WOW, b-e-d...oh how you are calling my name.  Bath, bedtime prep, grab my book, crawl up in bed to snuggle with DH while I read a few chapters before falling to sleep and DH putting my glasses away and he sets the clock for another day's routine.....

Oh how time flies when you're having fun and oh what fun it is!
